TRI TOWN TRANSFER STATION

Member Towns are Hiram, Baldwin and Porter

The Transfer Station is located at 208 South Hiram Rd, Hiram ME 04041.
  (across from the Sacopee Valley Elementary School)

HOURS OF OPERATION


 Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 am to 3 pm

Weekend hours are Saturday 8 am to 4 pm and Sundays 9 am to 4 pm

Closed Monday and Thursday 


Transfer Station Stickers


Transfer Station stickers are issued from your town office for a two year period, they are currently orange and are valid from July 2022 to July 2024.  To obtain a sticker for your vehicle you must supply your vehicle plate number to the town office staff and be able to provide proof of residency to the staff.

Demolition and Bulky Waste Tickets


The Transfer Station accepts large items for a fee from member towns.  For the  disposal fees see the download below. For contractors who are disposing of construction debris you must have proof that the debris is from one of the member towns, the station recently installed scales and there is a $2 minimum, fee is .10 cents per pound for loads over the minimum.  Please see attendant for proper disposal.  Fee schedule is located below

Single Sort Recycling

 Our recycling containers are located across from our larger household compactor. 




Electronic Waste - Universal Waste


The Transfer Station accepts all types of electronic waste. TV's, computer monitors, CPU's, printers, scanners, stereo equipment, fluorescent light bulbs, rechargeable batteries, cell phones and much more. Please check with the attendant for proper disposal of these item for are placed in a special container




Paint Disposal 


The Transfer Station accepts paint for disposal. The paint must be in an original container with the label attached, please check with the attendant on duty for proper disposal of these containers.  Dry empty containers are consider household trash and can be put in the compactor




The Transfer Station was built in 1990, in 2010 the Towns of Hiram, Baldwin and Porter decided to purchase the station and run it themselves in hopes to save money and operate more efficiently. The Tri Town Board consist of the Selectmen from each of the member towns. Meetings are held the third Monday of the month at the Hiram Town Office beginning at 7pm, meetings are open to the public. Much has changed in the past few years with our recycling abilities, it pays to recycle.
